Welcome!

Thank you for accepting our challenge and helping out the Mario Bros. find Princess Peach and Toad. It appears that Bowser has captured Peach and Toad with the help of his goons, now it's up to Mario and Luigi to bring them back with your help, using the best power we know of, math.

Question 1

Mario and Luigi were casually sitting around eating spaghetti and watching the soccer game when they heard a loud shrieking noise. They sighed in discontent because as the voice got closer, they realized it was Toad screaming about how the Princess had gone and got herself captured... again. This time, Bowser planned to use Peach's math ability to cause chaos throught the Math-room Kingdom. Mario and Luigi busted onto the scene right away!... or at least after the soccer game was over.

They ran down the path Bowser had taken with his lackey the hammer bro and were suddenly stopped by a huge brick wall. In order to break through this GREAT WALL, they had to prove that they were equal to Bowser and his lackey. But how would they do this?

Question 2

Mario and Luigi manage to break through the wall, but byt the time they have done so, Bowser has already taken off with the Princess in his fancy new 2010 Airship from Ford. Mario and Luigi decided it was probably best to just continue along this path on foot to hopefully find some clues. They eventually came across a Paratroopa. They kept trying to get information out of him, but this paratroopa was very hard-shelled and would not break. THey decided they would just have to beat the crap out of the thing instead...

Question 3

They managed to rock that paratroopa's world, and before its lost consciousness, it told them to go to Pert Pool. And so, with a new goal to head towards, the Bros. were off. They ran into a gang of Goombas on the way. The Goombas wanted to steal their coins, so Mario and Luigi taught them a lesson they won't soon forget. They managed to get a map off of one of the Goombas, and used it to find Pert Pool. When they arrived, things seemed VERY fishy...

Question 4

Mario and Luigi travel down the pipe and find themselves in the underground gambling market of some random Toad. This toad tells them he will give them the power they need to beat Bowser if they can win at a game of chance. However, if they lose, then the Toad will force feed them each a Poison Mushroom. THe Bros. are reluctant at first, but decide to go for it anyways. All of a sudden, 5 blocks appear and mushrooms come out of them. Mario and Luigi start figuring out their odds and realize that maybe they should have thought this through....

Question 5

By some wonderful miracle anad against ridiculous odds, Mario and Luigi win the game. The toad is beyond impressed, and gives the Bros. the shiny GOLDEN power mushrooms. He tells them that, the effects are weird at first, but it will benefit them in the long run. The Bros. are not sure what this means, but are thankful nonetheless. They venture in the undergroudn caverns for a while, trying to figure out where they are on the map. They finally stop, exhausted with hunger. All they have for food are the golden power mushrooms. They take a bite... that's when something BIG happens...

Question 6

The wormhole leads Mario and luigi to a place full of fire, lava, and evil. They could only be in the caslte of Bowser himself. That was one heckuva convenient wormhole. They race through the corridors, jumping in to pipes, dodging fireballs, running from Boos and breaking Dry Bones. They are radiating with the strength they acquired from the Power Mushrooms and bust through the giant doors to face the one who is responsible for just about every problem the Mario Bros. have ever had in their lives... Incidentally Bowser should get himself a real job. And patch up all the leaky lava pools in his castle while he's at it...

Conclusion and Credits

What a nice way to end our math course. We would like to thank Mr. K, all of our fellow students, Nintendo, and metalichotdog@hotmail.com for giving us amazing sprites. The background music of the solution video is as well as character names and images are copyright Nintendo of America Inc.

Oh, and yes we did do 6 questions when all we needed was 5, but that was because we only included one unit in one question and that was the identities question.

Thanks and have a great summer!!!
